Volunteer at the United Way for Cortland County’s Annual Day of Caring
For thirteen years the United Way has held a Day of Caring where volunteers from local businesses visit organizations and agencies throughout the county to perform special community service projects. The Day of Caring brings together businesses and nonprofits to do some great things for Cortland County!
In 2008 the Day of Caring changed from a day of projects to a county wide food and supplies drive! The Wendy Thibeault Memorial Food and Supplies Drive was held on September 24th, 2008. Hundreds of volunteers, 25 sponsors and the United Way staff worked all day collecting and sorting food.
The end result - we collected 5,560 pounds of food and personal supplies!
