September 27, 2017

The 22nd United Way Day of Caring in partnership with Bob’s BBQ was Wednesday, September 27, 2017. The Wendy Thibeault food and supply drive took place during the month of September with 30 businesses and schools hosting collection boxes.

Event sponsors included:

Sponsorships covered the cost of T-shirts for the volunteers and expenses for lunch. Bobs BBQ provided the food.

Volunteers from SVHC, Bailey Place Insurance, and the Gregory Family collected all the boxes. Mrs. Holl’s kindergarten class at Randall School and volunteers from the Child Development Center helped sort the food for 8 food pantries in 4 communities throughout the county. United Way board members assisted Bobs BBQ in serving lunch for 150 volunteers and businesses that participated.
